You probably already know that I also design and build websites. But you may not know that these websites are a whole package – from planning, design, building and optimization.
If you are interested, you can find all packages here. All packages contain at least:
✔ Creating Sitemap
Regardless of the size of the website, a website plan is absolutely necessary, at least basic, where the best user experience is planed.
✔ Wireframe homepage
The wireframe for the home page is the plan for the content and layout. The homepage is usually a page that is mostly visited by new visitors. Returning visitors are more likely to visit direct links to content (e.g. a new blog post…).
✔ Setting up a domain/hosting
A website needs hosting (where physically lives) and a domain (URL) where it is accessible. This can be done by the clients themselves, or I can do it on their behalf.
✔ E-mail Integration
Domain mail is another very important detail that is good to take care of. Similar to domain and hosting, I can take care of this on behalf of the client.
✔ Design for 10-pages
Design 10 sub-pages, which is usually sufficient for websites, but of course this is decided to each individual case.
✔ Design for the blog
Regardless of whether the website has a blog, news, recommendations… in the form of posts, the design of these pages is also one of the necessary parts.
✔ Full page design
The whole page design includes all other subpages and all parts that appear on all pages (eg header, menu, footer…).
✔ Design for coming soon page
Before the site is publicly available, I always set up a “coming soon” page.
✔ Theme and Childe theme
Each page in WordPress has its own theme on which I build a Childe theme, depending on the design. Whit the Childe theme the entire system can be updated normally.
✔ Building website
First, I always build a website on my computer locally and do everything I need. The final version, however, is then transferred to the production hosting so that the production version is refined and ready to be published.
✔ Graphics and photos prep
First Photos have to be taken or I have to find the right ones. Then they can be photoshopped to be the best fit for the website. Eg. colors, light, contrasts are adjusted, some parts are removed…It is also necessary to prepare individual graphics (eg icons).
✔ Graphics and photos optimization
All graphics and photos on a website must be the right size and compressed. Of course, they also need to be optimized for the search engine (e.g. Google).
✔ Mobile-friendly
Nowadays, it is essential that the website is also mobile-friendly. The website should be displayed on the mobile phone and browsing on the mobile phone should be a great user experience.
✔ Basic SEO optimization
SEO = “Search Engine Optimization” is essential to e.g. Google ranks the website as high as possible.
✔ Preparation for GDPR
The collection of personal data on the website must comply with the GDPR, which means that the visitor must agree to the processing and storage of his/her personal data. If you think you don’t need it… e.g. the contact form requires personal information (eg name, email…).
✔ Implement SSL
Websites are always built on a more secure https connection, and this requires a valid SSL certificate. This allows the website to have a secure connection icon or text next to the URL in the browser. It’s also important to Google.
✔ Implementation of Google Analytics
If the client wants (I always recommend), the option to monitor web analytics via Google Analytics is also built-in. Optional Facebook Pixel.
✔ Backups to Dropbox
Automatic backups are done to an external location, such as e.g. Dropbox, Drive… This is an additional backup, in case something goes wrong (eg hacking into a website).
✔ Integration with Mailchimp
Mailchimp is a system for collecting e-mails and sending news. Integration with the website is so important, both visually – it is the same branding, as well as more technically – the connection of the domain and the email (emails don’t go as spam).
✔ Management recommendations
In the website management manual, in addition to all accesses, there are also recommendations for editing a specific website: which keywords I recommend, what a short meta description should be, what image sizes …
✔ 14-day e-mail support
Questions often arise when starting to edit a website – e.g. a new blog is added. So it’s important to me that the client isn’t left in there own, but can ask for help.
A website package is a complete package in which I want the customer to have an ideal website on the one hand and to be able to edit it if they want to. I also want the whole process to be as easy and fun as possible.
