SEO?
What is it?
SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization” and this means website optimization for Search engines like Google.
So it is important that Google index your website and then rank it among its hits.
Why is SEO important for small businesses?
The answer is quite simple: that potential visitors can find you on Google.
And this usually means more customers (e.g. sales, visits to physical store …).
In short… SEO is crucial.
Not just for small businesses, but for all websites!
There are two SEO optimizations, and both are important:
ON-page SEO
This is optimization on your websites – everything from content, images, graphics, URLs, quality written code, user-friendly pages …
In short, there are three main factors for good SEO optimization on a website: a technically good website, great content, a positive user experience.
OFF-page SEO
This is also related to SEO, but it is not part of your website.
What could it be?
Social media (inviting people there to the website).
Links to other sites (eg recommendations from other websites).
Physically, locally (eg through posters, banners, jumbo, images of the bar – if you have a physical location for your business).
In short, it is the so-called “link building” or. building on visibility and links.
Ok, all clear, but where to start?
