Thera is WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Many people don’t know what the difference is, so in this post, I will explain it.
The one major difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org is who’s hosting your website.
WordPress.org is a place where you can download a software and install it on your own web server. So with WordPress.org, you host your own blog or website.
WordPress.com takes care of all of the hostings for you. You don’t have to download software, pay for hosting, or manage a web server.
This is just a short explanation, there are many other differences in functionality (eg with self-hosted WordPress you have all functionality, with WordPress.com not so much). What you should choose depending on what you need. I prefer and work with self-hosted WordPress, simply because I can do whatever I want to.
