Tell us a little bit about yourself…
Hi! I’m Petra.
I love coffee, pizza, kombucha, yoga, (real paper) books and all things productivity, organization and time management.
I worked in corporate as an accountant for almost 20 years, but in 2018 I decided to take the leap and start my own business. I now help service-based entrepreneurs be productive and get more done in less time. My mission is to help them free up time for the things they love doing. I work with clients 1:1 and I have a membership program called The Productivity Society.
What inspired your career?
There was this one day at work. I worked through a new tax law and I thought: I have to work at least 25 more years. This is not what I want to do for the next 25 years of my life. There must be something else. Something that’s more fun and makes me excited to get to work.
What does your day look like? Walk us through your typical day…
I usually get up at 6:30. I have a big glass of lemon water and then I do my workout. I love to workout first thing in the morning because then I don’t have to think about it anymore and it makes me feel ready for the day. Then I enjoy some me-time: coffee, journaling, meditating, reading, … whatever I feel like that day.
I start to work around 8:30 and work till 12. What I do is different each day: working on content for my membership program, social media content and engagement, personal development, …
After lunch, I go for a short walk. This is something I just recently started and I love it. It clears my mind and gives me energy for the afternoon.
As I’m in Europe and a lot of my clients and members are from the US, I usually have calls or co-working sessions in the afternoon.
In the evening, my boyfriend and I cook dinner together and then it’s time for Netflix & chill.
What is your favorite failure that sets you up for later success?
In the beginning, I spent way too much time setting up all my systems and organizing all my business stuff. And now, this is exactly what I help my clients with.
When you feel unfocused or not motivated what do you do?
I step away from work and do a lil dance party. Or I go for a short walk.
If you could send a mini message to all people, what would it be?
Do more of what makes you happy!
Do more of what makes you happy!
What advice would you give to someone starting a business journey?
You don’t have to do this alone! Find yourself a group of likeminded people you can reach out to and ask for help. Having the support of business besties is HUGE!
