Tell us a little bit about yourself…
A young entrepreneur with an interest in managing personal finances and investing in precious metals such as gold and silver. If you think I’m young now, you need to realize that I was even younger when I got into this business. In 2016, I bought my first gold bar and stepped out of my comfort zone. Otherwise, I am a fan of personal growth, dancing, good wine, and socializing.
What inspired your career?
When I became an adult, I wondered where I could get knowledge about entrepreneurship and finance. I did not know the difference between a loan and a lease, how to buy my first car and where to save. I later decided that it would also be my career because very few people know how to manage money and why to save in precious metals especially in the long run.
What does your day look like? Walk us through your typical day…
Pretty active! It depends on whether I’m in the field or in the office. In most cases, I spend two days a week in the office and three days in the field in different places such as Novo mesto, Maribor, Celje, etc … During the week I have a focus on work, but when the weekend comes, I dedicate myself to family and free time.
What is common, however, is my morning routine. I usually get up between 5:00 and 5:30 and start the day with yoga, meditation, and gratitude. Of course, you can’t do without breakfast. 🙂
Then I review my calendar, check e-mails and go to the field or to the office. If I am in the office, then I have administrative matters in addition to meetings. But sometimes I also stay home and work from home and Zoom.
I get home between about 4 pm and 6 pm. I take a short break and start checking emails and making calls. In the afternoon or towards evening, I disconnect and do exercise, tidy up the apartment, go for a walk or listen to a podcast. I fall asleep between 22: 30-23: 30, but before that, I like to make tea and read some pages of the book.
What is your favorite failure that sets you up for later success?
Definitely a Corona, as I only worked “offline” before and I was quite procrastinating with having my own website and exposing myself on social media.
When you feel unfocused or not motivated what do you do?
All I want then is to get rid of the “weight” of how things should be and what all I have to do. So I take time for myself where I talk to myself. Before I start writing and evaluating, I go for a walk, a garden, Šmarna gora or Rašica. Something that connects me to the essence. Many times, spontaneous socializing with friends and a short disconnect also help me, as this interrupts the routine.
If you could send a mini message to all people, what would it be?
Have fun.
What advice would you give to someone starting a business journey?
Don’t give up no matter how hard it seems. When you get up and move on, you’ve already won.
