Tell us a little bit about yourself…
Daisy believes we can all fire up a strong sense of Self without draining our most important resources – mind, body, soul, and the environment around us. The more integrated we are with ourselves, the more compassion we can offer others without exhaustion.
By taking her first yoga class in 2004, she began to feel a push to share her love for slower practices nearly 10 years later. – after the passing of her favourite person, her mother. Dedicated to encouraging others through change, debilitating stress, and emotional burnout, her philosophy is: work with the mind by getting into the body.
What inspired your career?
Feeling overwhelmed by grief and the fast-pace of getting back to “normal”.
What does your day look like? Walk us through your typical day…
When I wake up, I sit up and meditate. Sometimes it’s a longer practice, other times, a little shorter. Pranayama and visualization followed by journaling. This is my ME time 🙂 Afterward, I get ready and make my way to the kitchen, usually for a smoothie. I then check my emails and social media. Spending the day on work-related activities (content creation, responding to messages, idea generation, etc). Early afternoon, I take my pup for a long walk. I do a yoga practice either late afternoon or at night – morning yoga comes in waves for me. Usually I begin to wind down until late, say 9pm. But the evening I take it super slow. Some tv, some work, some study, it depends on my mood. My night routine is pretty short but once in bed, I give myself some time to read before getting to sleep.
What is your favorite failure that sets you up for later success?
I don’t know if I’d call it a failure but rather a change in path. Having studied and worked for nearly a decade in the marketing design world, I felt confident I could achieve success there – I worked for companies and freelanced, loving every minute of it. But I began to lose the passion I once had for it and I couldn’t see myself push through that. With the passing for some important people for me, I felt a nudge for the second time to teach yoga. The journey hasn’t stopped since and I’m excited to see where it takes me.
When you feel unfocused or not motivated what do you do?
I step away. That’s a lesson I learned in my previous career. No matter how much you stare at a blank screen, if inspiration isn’t there, frustration is all that will come through. Step away, get grounded and come back to it.
If you could send a mini message to all people, what would it be?
Do the work, the internal, uncomfortable work and learn about yourself so you can show up for yourself and those that look forward to seeing you.

What advice would you give to someone starting a business journey?
Know that it will test you in ways you never thought possible but also know that you can do tough things!
